What does it cost in total?
499 USD a month for 18 months comes to 8 982 USD in total. The one-off price is 7 999 USD. So you pay 983 USD more to avoid the whole investment up front, and to have hosting, security and ongoing improvement included for the entire period.
Why is the total higher than the one-off price?
Because you are not only paying for the website. The monthly price also covers hosting, security, support and ongoing improvement for 18 months, what would otherwise be a service level agreement at 150 USD a month. Count that in, and the two models land in roughly the same place.
What happens after 18 months?
The website is yours. You can continue with a service level agreement at 150 USD per month, or take the site to another supplier. We do not hold on to the code.
Is there a commitment period?
Yes, the agreement runs for 18 months. That period is what lets us build the website without you paying a setup fee. If you want to avoid a commitment, the one-off price is the right choice.
How do I pay?
Monthly by card via Stripe. It is charged automatically, you get a receipt by email, and there is no invoice fee.
How long before the site is live?
Two to four weeks for most websites, depending on the scope and how quickly we get content and feedback from you. You get a timeline with the quote.
Do I own the content along the way?
Text, images and your logo are yours throughout, that is your material. You take over ownership of the website itself after 18 months.
What if I need changes along the way?
Ongoing improvement is part of the agreement. We handle smaller changes and adjustments as they come. If you need something substantial, like an online store or a whole new area, we agree that separately.
Is this the same as renting a website?
No, and the difference matters. If you rent a website, the provider owns it forever, and you lose everything when you cancel.
